PB, that is not new.  That has been the teachings of the church for the last 2000 years. The Church recognizes the dignity and worth of all people, gay and straight.  But it will be a long time, if ever, before they recognize Gay sex as legitimate.

Look at it this way.  To the Church, sex=procreation.  Premarital sex bad.  gay Sex bad.  Sex for sex sake, bad.

They are not singling gays out.  That is their teaching.  That is their way.  And while many will disagree with it, it is consistent.

Yeah I know Dr Guy.. I just think it the height of hypocracy when I know alot of priests who are gay (in the closet) and when I know they love a good blow job!

When they start practising what they preach then .. maybe .. ill start to listen.

Yeah I know Dr Guy.. I just think it the height of hypocracy when I know alot of priests who are gay (in the closet) and when I know they love a good blow job!

You see that is the beauty of their teaching.  A Gay priest is fine.  but since all priests must be celibate, they do not discriminate.  So let the priest be gay, just not actively persue the lifestyle (just like the Straight kind).

I am catholic, And I dont care if you are gay.  Or if a priest is gay.  Or if you have a gay lifestyle.  But I do if  priest does.  He has a choice.  he chose to be celebate.  He lied.  Just like the one who has affairs with women do.  I expect them to be better than me, not as bad or worse. They are our Rabbis after all.

It's not the homosexuality that's the sin, it's the homosexual act that's sinful. So, it's okay to be gay...you just can't act on it.

I know this from experience... what they say is .. what people dont know wont hurt them. Hypocrites. Well instead of announcing it to the world fix their own ship first then tell everyone else about it.

Ideals are hard to keep.  Many do.  Some dont.  That should not dictate the church's policy tho.

No but it is the ones who make the policy that do this! ..anyhow Dr Guy we have been through this discussion many many times... It aint gonna change the way things are and what people believe.
