Today was another day in Peyton Place.  With one side going catty against another, and the other striking back.

And the losers?  The rest of us who read and respect all involved, and refuse to take sides.  All are guilty in trying to force the issue.  None are blameless.

Right now, I dont care to read any of the involved JU members unless and until they call of this jihad against the others.  We are not talking dull-does. We are talking members in good standing.  Each with a strong opinion.  Each with valid points when not using this avenue to trash another.

Mason has threatened to leave. I hope he reconsiders.  We, the members betwixt and between, are not happy with this latest war.  This is not a crunchy member threatening to take their marbles home.  This is several members that have no reason to hate each other, and indeed, given their own words, should not.

It is time it ended.  It is time each stopped acting like adolescents, and started acting as adults. 

To Texas (not at all involved BTW), I say repost your article on choosing sides.  I think it is apt here today.  Stop trying to choose up sides and get the rest of us involved.

I commented on each blog today, and asked one question, yet unanswered.  I will post no more on any, until said parties stop this mindless childishness.

for it is Childishness to continue to "nyah, nyah, nyah" each other.  All are worthy and contributing members of this site.  Today Stevendedalus and I agreed on something.  If we can, then all but the nuttiest of us can.

Do you want to be the nuttiest?  Of just members who disagree?

Stop it, or I will no longer visit your blog.

Enough is enough and too much is plenty!
I've already stated on my thread that I am finished. It was not meant to upset anyone to the point of leaving. It was my reaction to being mocked by a non person and having the mockery exaggerated by the creators of the scam.
I will return to my normal programming tomorrow. Hopefully the others will do so as well.

Thank you.  THIS is the Mano I know and respect.  I am not upset, but I am angry.  Angry that we cannot discuss and talk about our disagreements and come to at least an understanding.  There are very few on this site that I cannot come to that point.

As I am a conservative, I would hope that the sane ones on both sides can do the same. I ask no more than I expect of myself.

I will say the exact same about you (except the conservative part).  I have come to admire and respect you very much.  I do not know your battles with the others, but it takes 2 to fight.  Ignore them if it causes you pain.  But dont get into a cat fight that no one wins.

There are but 4 on this site that I have absolutely no respect for, but I ignore them, and for the most part, they do me as well (only one is BLed).

It seems that some people here can't refrain from intentionally pissing people off because it gets them a lot of replies and hence a lot of points. I was about to give a couple of examples, but it seems you don't want that here, Doc.

Maybe my new article is partly responsible. That wasn't my intent. I thought more people would agree.

I never said that.  I said quit the childish flame war.  Big difference.  I will not BL you or the others.  But just as you have every right to write what you want, so I have every right to read what I want.  I am not asking you to make love to the others, nor even to like them.  I am asking you to be adult and civilized and not childish.

It is your choice.  I demand nothing.  I think I made my position very clear.  I prefer not to read these flame wars, and if you decide they should continue, then I guess I will have exercise my taste and not read them.

It is not a threat, nor is it a childish temper tantrum.  I am simply exercising my right to read what I want to.

I've enjoyed our interaction, so don't get me wrong, and I'd hope you wouldnt hold it against me for speaking so honestly here. But my blog is my blog, and well...its mine, understand? As long as I adhere to the ToU, I don't give a toss what anyone else thinks.

You can see a lot of hypocrisy if you like.  But by chiming in, do you mean I commented on them?  Sure.  But in no way did I do more than state the facts.  I dont read JFJ because I find him stupid, but I am not goin goput of my way to write a frickin article on him.  Nor on the others.  Nor am I going to take my feelings for them over to other blog off topic.

No, I do comment on their comments (well only Pigpen's actually - I ignore the rest), but I dont write blogs trashing them.

No, it was just the full moon I guess.  I doubt any article actually started it.  It just had to happen.  And usually, they blow over as quick as they start.  But this one started degrading into cross posting comments, and I frankly had enough.

No, Stevendedalus.  He does not post a lot, but usually has come very good points to make, even if I rarely agree with him. 

You dont post about politics, so while we dont agree philosophically, we usually do on the non-polticial issues.  As Zoomba said, I guess I am becoming more liberal, or they are becoming more conservative!
