I was wondering, would it be ok to upload a logon screen that has an Adobe Photoshop 2.0 Layer Style? (Brushed Metal). I do not know if it is copyrighted or not.

That would be fine, providing you made the image yourself in Photoshop. Layer styles are there to create images with, so they are unlikely to be burdened with copyright issues.

Ok. Yes, I used the Layer Styles to create an image. Here is a quick screenshot:
