Bootskin's Preferences...

Hello to everyone. Lately i've been working on Bootskins, which i find it to be a challenging process, converting images to 16colors. Well i'm just curious as to what do people like to see in their bootskin. Lower is a list of features, can you tell what you like or don't like:
a.Windows Logo unchanged or Windows Logo changed or No Windows Logo at all?
b.Microsoft Windows XP original inscription or Microsoft Windows XP changed inscription or no inscription?
c.Process Bar or no Process Bar?
d.Loading sign or no loading sign?
e.Windows style boot (e.g. Easter Edition,Overclocked Edition,Pirated Edition,etc) or full screen graphics?
f.What thememing do you prefer? Is there something you'd like to see on a bootskin?
g.What other OS you'd like to see featured other than Windows XP?

Thanks in advance for any feedback. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Did you mean 'progress bar' ?

I just make a nice pic into a boot. I don't need the bootskin to tell me it's Windows, or that it's starting. The progress bar is a must have so you know the boot hasn't frozen.

Of course you could just make something to suit yourself...

I like seeing the windows logon 'creatively' redone, ala. all those "Windows XP: somedifferent Edition". it shows imagination, creativity and a degree of skill..
but thats just me.
and i just reckon a progress bar needs to be there, as Fuzzy Logic said (that and i suffer slightly from ADHD so if something is moving it keeps my attention for a short bit )

I just like something that doesn't look like it was taken with the first camera ever invented. Quality wise...most of them are horrible, but some of the really nice ones were done by someone that knows how to tweak a 16 bit image to make it look good. Progress bar included, same reason as Fuzzy

These don't really matter to me as long as it's well done.

c.Process Bar or no Process Bar?

I usually won't download a bootskin unless it has a progress bar, for the reasons already given. It has to be pretty special for me to get one without a progress bar. And bonus points for those who use the progress bar creatively, instead of just throwing it on the bottom of the screen.

f.What thememing do you prefer? Is there something you'd like to see on a bootskin?

Not sure what you mean here, but I like when a skin looks like it's only supposed to have 16 colors, rather than something that has obviously been dithered down, with tons of artifacts. For this reason, I prefer cartoons or other simple skins, though oddly, even some of the Simpsons stuff is dithered horribly.

g.What other OS you'd like to see featured other than Windows XP?

Atari. That's about it.
