The New York Post reports that it will cost employers $628,880,000 in lost productivity on the first two days of Star Wars Episode III - Return of the Sith . How many of you are planning to skip at least part of your workday on the first two days?

Now I wonder just how they came up with that figure? Besides, look at all the money the theaters will make. :)

It's Star Wars... I have to see it on the big screen... I have no choice. Even if I only had $10 to my name, I'd sell off something to make up the additional $2 to get a ticket.

I'll go see it in the theatre, but I'll wait 2 or 3 weeks to make room for the devoted ......and I'll go on a weeknight, more than likely a Wensday ( all those Baptist will be at Church ) ........

Don't you realize that the movie is better when it's first released? If you wait it won't be as good! They get stale or something.
At least you'd think so by the way some people flock to the theaters.

You pay $12 per ticket!  Damn!. we pay only $7.  And I probably will see it next weekend, but only because my son wants to so badly.  I want to see it, but I could wait.

This is because you keep hearing spoilers from the idiots who talk about it in open public and ruin it for you before you get to see it. Of course, since everyone already knows how it's going to end, it'd be hard to spoil this one.

Well, I'm over an hour's drive from a movie theater...what with gas prices what they are, it's DVD for me, baby.

This is somewhat disheartening, as I am one of the ORIGINAL SW fans, and even saw the first one in a DRIVE IN THEATER!

I'm an original, too. I first saw it at the Victoria Theater in Wheeling, WV. I was nine, and it was the first movie I ever saw by myself. I paid 1.50 for the matinee and about three bucks for my popcorn and pop.
I came in a little bit late, so they let me sit through it all again (I'd like to see that happen at the multiplex today). So, I essentially got to see it twice for a buck and a half!
Later that summer, me, my mom and dad went to see it at the Grove Drive-in. Pretty cool. I love the Drive-in.
