It's Going To Be A Painkiller Night

I just got back from my second walk/hobble/wabble of the day. I've been hurting pretty bad all day and was kind of hoping it might help ease things up a bit. No such luck.

The walk was grueling but I did it. After dinner I'm going to break down and take some hydrocodone. I won't take it on an empty stomach because it makes me feel sick if I do. I don't like taking and or relying on it but it's at the point now that some small measure of relief would be welcome right now.

I know eventually it will pay off and strengthen my leg/hip but right now it just plain hurts. Ok, enough whining now.

The sun is nice and warm and in spite of the difficulty of the trip, it was nice to be outside and feeling that warmth beaming down on me.

Thanks Mano. No, I won't give up, can't afford to. I'm just not real keen on "better living through chemistry" but sometimes it's a necessary evil.

Hugs Mason,

You know, we used to converse ages ago when you were a regular blogger. I feel like I've been through so much with you because you deserve so much. And they way that you've been dealing with everything that's going on in your life now shows exactly why we all care about you so much. I feel so priveleged to be in contact with someone with so much courage. We're gonna see you through.

Thanks for the kind words Suz. Not much choice on dealing with it really. I mean it's not like there's a lot of choice about it. Chit happens and you either get over it or learn to live with it.

Truer a word has ne'er been spoken.  It's not what happens to you, Mason, it's how you react to/deal with it, and you, my friend, are a fine example of courage in the face of adversity.

I'm having a painkiller night too...so I can feel your pain.

Sorry to hear that Dharma.

While I don't enjoy pain, I look at it this way; pain is the body's way of keeping you from doing anything else stupid to it.

Just took it. It's liquid hydrocodone so it works faster, but DAMN it tastes TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! YUK. Can't drink enough to get that horrid taste out of my mouth.
