What is the Least Glorified ( Worst) Occupation ?

OK, I've recieved my fair share of grief for the ways in which I provide for my family. I've been more than self-deprecating on occasion,
but I am rather proud of the fact that I do what I do, and do it very well.

For those that don't know, I derive my income by providing housing , transportation, and the funds to purchase that transportation,
to those who, otherwise, would go without.

Yes, I am a landlord, loanshark, repo man, and used car dealer.

These are high risk and underappreciated fields of endeavor to say the least, but are they really the worst?

It's my belief that Stock Brokers, Insurance Agents, Funeral Home Directors,Social Workers and Boiler Room Operators are all much more
reprehensible....

Any others come to mind????.....

My friend Mike drives a "Honey Bucket". That's the truck that cleans out septic tanks.

He makes a ton of $$$ for doing it though.

Truck driving in general. Somehow people have come to think of truckers as a bunch of drug-crazed criminals riding around looking for an excuse to run over someone.

Truckers do tend to get short shrift, but I recall seeing a bumper sticker that once said something like " If you got it, It got to you on a truck"
and when you think about it, unless you're buying groceries at a farm front roadside stand, it is true.......

I forgot all about Politicians, but is that a career?

I have been saying for years that the only thing worse than a politician is a child molester or a TELEMARKETER!

I almost got a job as a telemarketer.  It is a very high turnover job, and they ran me through a long battery of tests.  I did not pass.  It was just as good, as I really did not want it, but was desperate for a job at the time.

If you mean unjustly villified, count Politicians out.  They are justly villified.

I would say lawyers then.  By definition, they must be amoral in their work, and they do have a job to do (the non ambulance chasers).  But the 95% of the ambulance chasers give a bad name to the rest of the 5 %.
