Just Got Back From My Walk/Hobble

I did my morning walk. Starting today I am going to do the walk twice a day instead of one. I am hoping it will aid in speeding the healing process.
Despite waking in the middle of the night in extreme pain possibly as a result of moving wrong in my sleep the hip feels pretty decent today. The pain is somewhat tolerable. The first 3/4 of a block of the walk I used the cane very lightly, only really leaning on it a couple of time when my balance became a little off. Amazing how much the hip joint is used in maintaining your balance when walking.
I did eventually have to start leaning more on the cane as I went and slowed my pace a good bit. But it's some improvement anyway. I doubt I'll ever be able to completely lose the cane, but the less I have to lean on it, the better.
I'll do the walk again this afternoon or early evening.
I called about a job ad when I got back from my walk. A fireworks company looking for people to work their stands. Unfortunately it requires a good deal of lifting and carrying boxes of fireworks and setting up the tent each day so that's out. Oh well, it was worth looking in to anyway.
