WinStyle/ThemeManager Not Working

After the many replies I've gotten on my last 2 suites on problems installing the skins I wanted to address the issue in the forum to see how many others are having this problem and if there are ways to fix it.
I did a download test on my last suite (World Of Warcraft) and I noticed that not all the skins get downloaded and installed, even though' I selected the download links from the list Theme Manager displays.
The SysMetrix skin only installs the text but none of the images. BootSkin gets an error saying the file is not supported. The Rainlendar doesn’t get installed at all and WindowBlinds gets partially installed.
I did another test creating a suite with the local files (installing the skins directly from the PC) this time the Rainlendar was not installed and neither was the BootSkin and WinAmp.
I've also noticed that when creating a suite using the links from the site, Windows Media Player skins do not appear on the list.
I was under the impression that the problem might be on the site's coding due to the updates and new servers but after running the local test I see that the program might have a few glitches too.
I would appreciate any feedback on this issue.
Thanks

The very first suite I ever tried to install with theme manager was M12 Toxic and I couldnt then and I cant now..
When the Alienware suites came out with their version of theme manager I was able to at least install those..but apparently it was becaise I had downloaded all the parts already..I dont know really..but they worked..

I have not purchased OD yet as $$$ has been tight, but I have noticed that those that have it also have had trouble with Theme Manager and Suites from time to time..
I am told this is due to the URL's changing and Theme manager not being updated to reflect these changes...
So far Aufisch has been the best source of aide to this problem, but the problem, at least for the free version still remains..

When I actually do purchase OD hopefully Suites will work, but until then I will simply use WB's

Zero.

Hi Apo,

ThemeManager does not support Rainlendar skins to my knowledge (it is not on the list of supported programs).

Much the same applies to Winamp 3 and 5 as the skinning support engine changed slightly in how winamp allows third party applications to change and apply skin files. Winamp 2 using *.wsz-files should work though. I believe the Winamp5 issue is one of the things on Brian's "will need to fix that.."-list.

As for the other problems you encountered (Sysmetrix, Bootskin, missing WMP-files, and partial WBA installation), I would suggest you contact Brian Harper at Stardock Support he might be able to give you more help with that.

Just downloaded and applied suite, I don't have Winamp or Sysmetrix. Everything else WB,IP,BS,LO,CUR,WMP,Wall, all
applied fine for me, Theme Manager 2.20 Free. I think problem is that updated free Theme Manager is not at Suites web site yet, only on SDC.

G'Day Apocolypse, I downloaded the WOW suite via my theme manager and all seems to be fine with WMP, System metrix and the bootskin. I don't have Rainlendar or Winamp to say if those components are ok or not. I purchased the Object Desktop suite and have 2.20.030, now updating to 2.20.031, and it seems to be working as intended. Fingers crossed for after the update
One small problem though, the start button is part way off the screen. I usually run 600x800 for my eyesight, but it's still the same on larger resolutions. It's not a major problem for me cos I'm more than happy with the suite, but if there's a simple fix for an inexperienced simple person such as myself, it'd be nice to know. BTW, it's a fantabulous suite
