The JU Points System is DEFINITELY offkilter

It's inevitable. Within the next day or two, I will drop out of the top twenty blogs. I have accepted this as fact.

But my observations and those of others have made it clear that this is not a fault of my blogging, but of a bug in the points system. I have brought over 1,000 visitors to my site via blogexplosion in addition to those who regularly view my site, and have written 3-5 articles a day (ok, ok, so I had a few "slump"
articles), so I know I shouldn't be below 4,000 points in the last 30 days. I probably HAVE fallen out of the top ten legitimately, but I'm seeing the site plunge 1-3 points each day. When I log back in on Monday, I'll have to flip to the second page to see it if nothing's fixed.

While I have definitely decided this, too, shall pass, I still have the points whore side of me that is horribly dismayed. But maybe it's got it's good side, in exposing some of JU's worthier bloggers. I, am, after all, established; they might be able to benefit from their moment in the sun.

I'll have them run a full diagnostic next week because it is possible the system needs to be recalculated.

Sometimes, what happens is that older blogs show up on some search engine. The system needs to be weighted to reward active bloggers more.

Keep writing your good articles and you'll get back up there. Although, exposing newer people could be good too, diversity and all that. *shrug* silly points (and have a few more)

*sigh*.  I dont read your articles for the points.  But for the content. Dont worry about the points.  You are still being read.

I still can't figure out how I made it into the top-10... No way are my articles generating those kinds of points.
