THE RISE OF THE ANTI-CHRIST

There is a news story ahead that most people see as only a problem. The reality is that it will be a crisis such as the world has never seen. And that crisis will be the collision of the two largest religions on earth. Catholicism is about to clash head on with Islam.

Pope Benedict XVI believes that dialogue unacceptably puts Christianity and Islam on equal footing--and that such efforts have crippled European Catholicism, which is now enslaved by materialism and secularism. In a climate of religious mediocrity, this fascist pope is unafraid to take an unpopular stand.

Ratzinger said that all religions that fail to accept the doctrine of apostolic succession are not churches at all. And that anyone who is non-Catholic can never receive salvation. Ratzinger also stated that Turkey can never be a part of the European Union because they are a Muslim nation.

It is very clear that Pope Benedict XVI sees Catholicism and Islam as fierce competitors. Christians and Muslims are at each other’s throats around the globe, including in the Balkans, the Caucasus, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, the Sudan, Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, Indonesia and the Philippines.

The main battleground is Europe for Pope Benedict XVI, where Catholicism seems to be shrinking just as Islam is becoming stronger and stronger. The fascist German pontiff is sure to make correcting this problem his highest priority. He is not one to turn the other cheek to the Islamic threat on the bastion of his beloved religion. Many crystal nights are coming across Europe against non-Catholics.

The pope’s counterattack will start at home. His election signals a strong desire by the church to revitalize the religious roots of the Continent. In choosing this man as pope, the cardinals have shown their determination to hold on to the Christian identity of Europe. Benedict will capitalize on the unprecedented flood of popular goodwill his church is enjoying. Soon a political fascist monster will arise out of the European Union and ally with the fascist pope. Their goal will be to unite all of Catholic Europe into one huge superpower.

The new pope will be able to use the rise in Islam as one of the biggest catalysts for European Christians to abandon secularism in droves and to rally around the banner of Roman Catholicism. Even today, in the face of runaway immigration of Muslims to Europe and Islamic terrorism cells being uncovered on the Continent, we see the Christian European public’s hatred rising against Muslims. All this hatred plays perfectly into the hands of the Vatican. It is similar to Hitler's hatred against the Jews.

Once the pope has shored up the support he needs, he will turn his full attention to crushing his zealous Islamic enemy. Pushed into a corner, the Roman Catholic Church will lash out against the Muslims and other non-Catholics. Liberty across Europe will end once again.

Pope Benedict XVI will not be the first pope to exterminate non-Catholics. He will take his place beside Pope Urban II and the other bishops of Rome who have battled the Muslims and others whom they perceive as heretics. This age-old clash of civilizations is almost here once again.

You think the Pope is the anti-christ? What are you, Adventist?

I really doubt much of anything will drive athiests and agnostics back to the church. It's much better to stand on the sidelines and make fun of both sides.

No offence, but as bad as the anit christ is as a sign, wouldn't this mean that God lives IE the Bible is true?

Wouldn't this mean the coming of the lord is also due to pass???

My suggestion is shouldn't this or could this be considered good news as well?

Marvin, I am interested in Prophecy. The book of Daniel does not describe the Anti-Christ being a Gentile. I advise you get a listen to some of the Mp3's on the prophecy of Daniel's 69, 70 weeks by Chuck Missler.

This is a quote form his book on the subject:-
'One of the dominant topics among prophecy buffs is the identity of the coming leader, whom we call "the Antichrist." We know from Daniel 9 that he will emerge out of the Roman Empire, which we often presume is Western Europe.

However, we may have been subject to myopia by overlooking an important fact. The Roman Empire had an eastern leg that, in fact, survived the western leg by a thousand years!'

Invigorating thread, got this old heart beating with rapture.

This label, the "anti-Christ," has a resoundingly negative connotation in American society, but it is a rather bigoted term and is really out of place here. I find the way it is hurled around more than offensive. First of all, in a society in which Christians are a minority, they would not appreciate such slurs leveled against them. Secondly, I don't see that the label is even remotely relevant in this discussion. It would seem to me that quite a few people deserve to have their mouths washed out with soap to learn what is appropriate language!

Have a look at Marvin's tagline, Angloesque - 'Articles about these end times'. Marvin feels he has to tailor almost everything he writes, regardless of the content, in an effort to make it comply with his stated belief that Armageddon is just around the corner. He has been laughably wrong many times before, and will be so again. If he were standing on a street corner, wearing a sandwich board proclaiming 'The End Is Nigh', you wouldn't give him time of day. Why do so here? Just because he uses a different medium doesn't make the message any less ridiculous.

"Take your seats please. First up on the menu served cold is the nice little family from Arimithea, the mother and father of Jesus are to be ripped to shreds by ten lions we forgot to feed since Jesus died."

If you find it fun sitting in the gallery, along with Ian Anderson's minstrel. Or if you are happy to sit and watch 'The Passion of Christ' and laugh. That is you choice. Just remember that many have sat in your seats and have later found themselves prostrated in worship before the very one they mocked.

I would like to stress here that, the only reason a subject like this is current is because of the press about Rome's new Pope. Rome does not have the correct seed bed for an Anti-Christ. They do not have enough respect for the man. They place Mary on the throne, she is greater than the Pontiff. He is just a figure-head. He can never command any respect unless he submits to the worship of Mary. This Anti-Christ figure would not really be happy in the role of Pontiff. He needs something a little more delectable, so for example High Priest in the very temple he longs to desecrate. One has to realize that Satan repeat the same mistake. He wants to be exclusive, either himself or God. He would not be happy with a bunch of Marioligists, way to much hard work to get them to believe. However, his goal according to the Scriptures was to seize the Holy of Holies from God...well, then it is obvious, a true criminal mind that he is, he would return to the scene of the crime...just a thought...?

... so the great demon is lazy?

I never heard of that one before.

Well, I guess if there is a anti-anything (I would think it would actually be some poor sap who just has visions of ruling the world while Satan eggs him on rather than Satan himself), the end result is still what?

Honestly, the end times are suppossed to be very violent, nevertheless, what would it show? Wouldn't it show that God actually exists and the Kindom of Heaven is coming? Why would this not be a good thing?

I would never want someone to die for my sins, but it was done for me and I apprieciete it very much. In His death there was new life born. So, technically the end times is a good sign.

Right???

oye vay is mir.

first, he's an old pope and he wont be around for very long. second, nobody will unify europe, not even the almighty euro. third, my amusement at the concept of catholic supremacy knows no bounds.

the whole church-determined salvation thing is even funnier than the mormon concept of post-humously inducting heathens into the mormon hall of fame. look, you can tithe your local child abuser all you want, but you can't buy your way through purgatory into heaven, okay?

everyone knows that the church will rear its slimy head until time eternal (or until god finally smites the institution with frustration--i assume everyone has heard the joke, "Q:what did jesus say to the church before he died? A:'act stupid until i get back.'"), trying to reclaim, in moments of extreme nostalgia, the glory days of its several inquisitions. then once again the world will have to do a schism or two, perhaps displace more natives from their homes so there can be more room for fed-up white people.

hey, here's an idea, pope: why don't you spend some time in africa--pick your country? take a look around, eat with the locals, peek into the hospitals--oh yeah, there arent any. well, you could look into the schools--er. or you could just take some binoculars and gaze over some nice barren fields of disease-infested famine--or hasn't the church recognized 'binoculars' as existing, yet?

i'm sorry for the rant, but come on now, people. life is too short for this, and the pope has too narrow of a vision for us to take too seriously. can you seriously imagine jesus nominating THIS guy for the PR job?

anti-christ? this meshuga? this charlie brown of thinkers?

Um, I'm not really sure what you thought I meant, but some Adventists really do think the pope is the anti-christ, so I's curious if he was oen of them. I don't really need a lecture on Marvin. I've been here longer than you, it appears, and I know he doesn't reply. But I just hoped he might. For once.

No offence intended, Anglo. Sorry if you thought this Johnny-come-lately was lecturing.
