It Just Is
life's like that...

I've been away from blogging for some time now, for one main reason: it's so damned nice outside. I've been spending a lot of time biking, playing basketball and going for walks. I can certainly understand why I gain so much weight in the winter and by the end of summer seem to have lost so much without changing a thing in my diet. There's just so much to do.
Work is work. I am up for a pay raise next month and am going to have a chance to earn bonuses from here on in. The sucky thing is this: my stats are average. They are not great enough to earn maximum bonuses, but still... I'm definitely bound to pull in some extra cash. I also get 10 days paid vacation this year. What to do? I'm thinking ROADTRIP. Or cottage country. Or even, pow-wow trail. The best thing about it is this: I haven't got anything planned, but nothing much is holding me back. Maybe I'll draw up a route in the US and go visit my favorite bloggers. I've never been to the States before.
I've been noticing how different life is without a 'best' friend. My best girlfriend moved out of town last week, my best guyfriend quit work and I've only had a chance to see him once since then. I've been floating around from group to group and it's all fine: in fact, I like things better in a way: I can leave when I want to, and don't have obligations to hang around. But I miss just relaxing with someone. I miss hanging out lazily on a front porch or in the backyard of someone's house.
My friend from Australia is coming home next week. Maybe that will be a bit better. Who knows.

If you do go with the wandering around visiting bloggers you're welcome to stop by here (or not, your vacation, just make sure to have fun with it).
