Stardock Support forums up

https://forums.stardock.com/

Stardock has expanded its support options with the new Stardock support forums that are designed to supplement Stardock's existing News group peer user support channels.

The new forums are a derivative of the forum technology found here on WinCustomize.com but have some modifications designed to make them as fast as we can.

They cover Stardock's complete set of products -- not just Object Desktop but the games and ThinkDesk as well.  Check them out.

The question that will come up is "Is this a user forum or a Stardock support forum (monitored by Stardock employees)?"
Not that it will matter to the irate user either way, but I would make it very clear on every page and act accordingly.
For what it's worth, I think it's a great idea.

I tried to sign on using the same 'nickname' and password that I use here, but it didn't read it.

It's monitored by Stardock people yes, but it's not an official tech support channel. It's like every other company forum on the planet.  People who get irate because they're random question isn't instantly answered by a trained professional on a forum need to get a reality check and read the docs.

Looks very useful with easy access to a lot of questions and solutions.

Agreed. And while I have been more than happy with support via official email, IRC, forums, and mental telepathy, I hate seeing Stardock bashed publicly for user idiocy.

After logging on, I got a "Welcome,!" (no name), then when I selected a thread and clicked the "Add Comment" button, I watched the progress bar do it's thing, the page refreshed, and no text box or any other indication of method for adding a comment appeared - page remained the same.

Either I don't have access level high enough, or perhaps pages are still under construction.

Nice organization of sections though.
