Why are we on earth?

Now this is not preaching, it's just my own mind rambling and coming up with an idiotic theory.

I think God got bored. Now let me repeat this, it's just my imagination (ow shew! now i've got the song in my head, anyhoo... ). I think He got bored with his Kingdom where everything was just fine. Angels who obeyed, everyone worshipping him and all that. So he created Lucifer. Someone who'd get jealous of him and be rebellious and all that. Because God knows all things, creating Lucifer was in his plan to get entertained, and we all know how arguing can be entertaining. But they needed something to argue about.

And that's where the creation of mankind comes on the picture. You see it's a match between God and Satan. A game. Who can score the highest number of souls? because, unlike angels who dont have a choice, we humans can choose between loving and serving God, or totally ignoring him or worse worshipping Satan, which means the devil won.

I think God, in his wisdom, knew he was gonna lose. That game i mean. But he still gonna kick Lucifer's ass, when the end of times come. Because, we can only be entertaining a little while. Then, he'll just clean up the mess and put his toys back in the box where they belong. Then he gonna get bored again. And have to think of something else to have fun with. But of course He's thought about all that already and has it under control just like anything else.

So yeah, all this heartache has made me a bit cynical. I apologize for being such a blasphemeous creature, i couldnt help it, so sue me! But you'll do agree, this is an interesting one huh?

It gives merit to the saying "Life's a game"

"Because God knows all things,"

Why do we presuppose God know all things? When did this premise first take hold? The ancient Greeks sure did not view things this way. Under their model, even Zeus was not omniscient. The gods of fallibility is a wonderful novel.

How did he just 'create Satan'? If doctrine serves me right, Satan is a fallen angel meaning he was an angel meaning he became Satan meaning God didn't just make Satan out of thin air. I know what you mean when you say God got bored, but when you analyze it for a moment you'd realize that no good entity is going to create something so destructive just to pass the time. Think about it. If you were God would you ever get so bored you would create an entity that would eventually be able to destroy life on earth as efficiently and on as big of a scale as You could do Yourself?

Thanks Danny, it just came out from no where though, that's how twisted my mind is these days.

It gives merit to the saying "Life's a game"

Lol! i didnt even think about it that way, thanks enigmagnetic. Btw cool screen name

Tarantula, well i said God knows all things because it is said so in the Bible. I'm not good with quotes, but it's written.

Reiki, if we suppose that God knows all things and that God is the essence of all things, then we can say that God created everything, right? And that includes the angels right? And since God knows everything, he knows past and future in its infinity. And when He created Lucifer, he knew that this angel would eventually become a fallen one. God made him different, Lucifer was a cherubin, the most beautiful of all. But also the most vain. So many pecularities for no reason? Doesnt make sense. But hey that's only my theory. I think God doesnt mind the challenge because He knows that at the end of the Game he'll just get rid of Satan anyway.

Why are we on earth? I believe it's because one of God's attributes is love. In order for God to love, he needed people to call his own to love. We love it says in scripture because he loved us first.

Great question.
