How do i use the skins

I tryed downloading a skin for windows XP but when i try to open it, it asks "open vertige.dxtheme with...."
What should i do?????

You downloaded a DesktopX theme. Not a skin for Windows. You will need DesktopX http://www.desktopx.net/ to open that theme.
