The art of making enemies
Agenda driven madness
Case #1. T. Shiavo is dying by judicial order in Florida. I know I'm a bit late to the game here, but it occurs to me that the State has no real interest in her death, but it might be in the State's best interest to not make mortal enemies of her parents. Now it could be that the Schindlers are docile, gentlepeople who will accept the judges' authority and will calmly accept what has happened once Terri's body has expired. Arguments about whether she's "really in there" not-withstanding, I think it would be understandable for one to switch into "Gladiator" mode if one TRULY BELIEVED that the State had intentionally starved one's innocent child to death. Why would the State go to such extreme measures to make mortal enemies, when it doesn't have to?
Case #2. Link Please tell me this is all a lie. I really hope someone just made this story up to get a rise out of people like me. If this is really true, WHAT SORT OF DRUGS are those people on, especially the technician who was telling the girl's mother that she had no rights there? I can't even BEGIN to enumerate on how many levels such behavior is WRONG. What would have been the trouble with saying "Oh, we didn't realize she was here without your permission, here she is, take her home."? But noooooooo. Instead they had to make sure they killed the grandchild first. Now it could be that the parents of the 14 year old are docile gentlepeople who will let bygones be bygones, but it would be understandable for one to consider this grounds for a blood feud (this IS southern Illinois we're talking about). Why would abortionists go to such lengths to make mortal enemies, when they don't have to? Don't they have enough clientel without molesting 14 year old girls whose mothers are screaming in the next room?
It occurs to me that some people have been driven mad by their political agendas, having their judgement distorted to the point where they will wantonly make mortal enemies. That sort of behavior is normally perpetrated by those who are aiming for the electric chair.
