Yahoo Messenger Crashing

I recently installed Yahoo Messenger for the first time (version 6, btw), and found that when I had my suite enabled, it hard crashed (not even a Windows crash box - it just vanished) whenever I tried to use many of its menus. I switched back to the stock XP interface, and the problem went away. Is this a known issue? Is it a problem only with certain themes?

i also have the same problem with Yahoo Messenger crashing iv been useing it since v6 came out havent had a prob with it until i installed the trial version of windowblinds now when ever i use windowblinds my yahoo crashes for no reason a little help or feedback on this problem will help out greatly.

Try to add Yahoo Messenger to your Per Applications. Right-click on the systray Icon of WindowBlinds > Configure WindowBlinds > Per Application > add Per application > and then browse for your Yahoomessenger executable file.

This should prevent Windowblinds from attempting to skin Yahoo Messenger and thus eliminate the chances of a clash with this program.

I am using yahoo messenger 6.0.0.1922 and wb 5.00

I do not have any problem with wb skinning messenger.

You can get this version of messenger at www.freecreed.com

Just pull down menu drop down lists at top and click on ' old messengers'
I have tried all the new versions of messenger and always uninstall them and return to the 6.0.0.1922 - never has ' issues '
