Well now that the Supreme Court in its infinite wisdom,has seen fit to make another new law, exempting under age killers from receiving the Death Penality, The will be a new breed of pro killers comming, the under 18 years old set.

Want someone killed hire someone 15, 16 or 17 to whack em out, after all they no longer risk death, just life in prison.

I can just see lines of kidkillers presenting their resumes to prospective employers.

What ever was the Supreme Idiots thinking? To say that a 17 year old is not adult enought to be responsible for killing and should be spared death, so they can possibly be reformed.

I wonder if one of these morons on the bench has someone in their family murdered by a 17 year old if they would still think that no death for the murdering scum is still ok/

While I agree that these cases should be decided on an individual basis, I don't think that life in prison is so appealing that it will breed a new brand of killer.

Life in prison is not something so appealing as to warrant a career change (at least in my opinion, I recognize there may be deranged individuals out there who think differently), and I don't see why you would want a minor killing for you anyways. They'd cop a plea and finger you in a second to get out of getting theirs.

Mmmh, i'm not really for the death penality anyway.

But it is true that if the point of the supreme court is that the older you get the more responsible of your actions you are then they are out of their mind. I think that if the law says that when you kill someone you'll be sentenced to death, then the law is there for everyone to see. It should be applicable to anyone regardless of their age, sex or colour.

Hehe, ok that was too drastic, but that's probably the reason why i'm not a judge!

And a valid thought too...It didn't occur to me to think of the court's decision in this light...although I don't think it'll become widespread...

me either Island, but if we are barberic enought to have a death penality then we should apply it to all KILLERS period, if they commit murder at 12 then exacute them at 18, so they know why they are dieing and what for.

I think that I'll still take it on a case by case basis.

But if you're going to execute a 12 year old, why wait until they're 18? They would just drain the prison system.

Yes that's what i think too as i said:

Of course there are cases where there are mitigating circustances like self defence.
