Leaving the nest.. finally

Well it is official. Im moving.

Not only am I moving but im moving 1000kms north from here to a place I lived before called Byron Bay. This is the place I became HIV positive, the place where my whole life changed. But im going back, this time my best mate is coming with me and im going there working and living as a different person to the way I was back then.

I've got 4 weeks to move, meaning Ive gotta start packing and getting things organised.

Im really excited about all this. The year of action is rolling along really well.

So Byron here I come. ... again.

Does this mean his hands are ok and he kept the job?

Hey Trina...

his hands are getting better...he is under therapy and in a couple of weeks he gets the pins out. Yeah he kept the job and is going to run the clinic up there as well. HIs work has been very supportive of him which is great. Unfortunately he will loose the use of one of his thumbs thouh which sucks, but he is working around all that.

Thanks Texas!

this is the year of action, the year that everything is going to happen to keep us all going into the right direction...if we let it.

Hey Phoenixboi, good luck with the move. I've not been to Byron either. It is one of the few places in NSW I've not seen. Looking at the photos, I really would like to get up there.

How is everything else going? Good, I hope.

Cheers,

Maso

Well we actually stayed at Banora Point. Stayed at students families. We got to visit Brisbane, Byron Bay, Surfers Paradise, Pacific Fair (SHOPPING!) and the usual zoos. Oh and Dreamworld too

Dream is my favourite world out of all the worlds in QLD. Sea, Movie, Underwater, (wet & wild)

Dreamworld has everything, the tigers/zoo part, the rides, the water swimming part - it's a combination of all the "worlds"

What did you do in Brisbane??
Well i didnt visit the other worlds, we were over there for only a week. But i loved the giant drop and the wipe out:p They had all this scary stories about the rides being precarious and all that but i just went for it! And yeah i got to touch a white tiger!!!!

We didnt do much in Brisbane, as soon as we got there we jumped in a bus and had another 2 hour ride to Banora Point in the addition of the 3 hour flight from Vanuatu.

But i went there for a weekend to Brisbane, all we did was movies and shopping. Not very interesting, heh.

Im looking forward to doing the "worlds".. I havent been on any rides ever.. yeah thats right I have been deprived of fun park rides! so what rides are the best??

I would have thought you were into shopping IG??

I'm not a rides girl and therefore not the best person to ask. I went on the tower of terror in a moment of absolute and utter complete insanity - and my best friend wouldn't let me leave the line.
It was thrilling and terrifying and I'll never do it again.

At Dreamworld the most adventurous I get is the spinning thing in the Mountain and the Thunder river rapids ride (where you sit in this round thing with chairs and get spun along water)

And I LOVE LOVE LOVE driving the model t fords. And the steamboat.

Of course the last time I went to Dreamworld was 2000 - Pre Big Brother, Pre Nick Central and from looking at the dreamworld website http://dreamworld.com.au most of the stuff I loved isn't there anymore. (so I haven't mentioned it)

I can't remember anything at Seaworld except dolphins and stuff - but once again I don't like rides.

The only time I went to movie world was when the Batman Returns ride was NEW - and my favourite ride was the Loony Tunes River Ride.

I want to go to Dreamworld

Thanks for the info Trina!

Ill definately check it out when Im up there. Seeing that I have never been on rides it will be a new experience for me.
