Slow downloads in Stardock Central

Can anybody tell me why it is taking me ages to download object desktop components using Stardock Central.
I have a 512k broadband connection and I dont have any problems doing other downloads.
I have been trying to download Windowsblinds & Iconpackager in Stardock Central.
The download starts off OK, but then the transfer rate drops to just above 1KB/sec or even less.

Stardock Central is a good idea for updating your Object Desktop components. But it is not much good if it takes ages to download something.

I have Windows XP pro, Mcafee Antivirus and Mcafee Firewall with Stardock Central given internet access.
I live in UK and am using Stardock Chicago server.

Uploads are a bit slow too. Maybe there is a lot of D/L going on or something. Maybe the weather has something to do with it too??? :NOTSURE:

i don't know why your getting the slow downloads mate, i use stardock central to update and install all my stardock stuff and never get a d/l speed below 60kbs. i hope you are able to get this issue sorted out. merry christmas :)
