Importing MP3s and United Planets question

Hey there:

I read somewhere (I think it was Gamespot's review) that the new pack would allow you to import MP3 spots so you could listen to your own music while playing. Is this possible? And how is it done?

Next question: I haven't figured out how to PROPOSE laws in the United Planets. Is that possible or not?

Thanks!

Trey

Just plop all music files into the "PlayList" directory found in Galciv. A default playlist will automatically be created for you.

Note that there is a bug that prevents it from adding .MID files to the playlist - the only thing it adds are those silly MP3s.

No, the UP issues are selected randomly.

1) On the options menu, set User Defined Playlist to ON

2) Save a playlist in the .m3u format from winamp or another mp3 player program to the playlist directory. If it doesn't save the full path information, the mp3 player may not find your files when it goes to play them.

3) Click the Load Playlist button that now has appeared on the Options Menu.

At the top of the Load Playlist Dialog there is an entry field. You can change this to be the directory where you store your mp3s and it will create a defaul playlist as Sigma_7 said, or if there is an m3u file already there it will see it.

Oops, forgot to mention in my previous posting:

You can manually edit the playlist (or at least do so last time I checked) to include the non-MP3 files. It should play anything that the background media player could run. Don't have the exact list handy, but it's a nice thing to know.

(Though for some reason, Windows Media Player didn't recognize the playlist. Strange...)
