Stepping away.

*please note that this article is being written with a broken truth filter.  Those of you who've been with me for a while will know what I'm talking about.*

 

I'm stepping away from the blog scene for a while.  I had written a few weeks ago that it just wasn't as much fun for me anymore - and as of today it's no fun at all.  I don't come here to be ridiculed and picked on, and that's pretty much what's happened.  I will not let this be a re-run of the Myrrander incident, where people are asked to literally pick sides...and if they picked the wrong side, boy were they in for a shock.  I'm not going to ask people to come out in my defense; that's immature and petty.

I predicted back when the Myrrander incident was going down that I'd be next in the line of fire, and I was right.  She's predictable, you see....you dare to disagree with her, and she'll turn on you.  You don't even have to disagree with her, a lask of assent on your part will be all that it takes.  Those of you who have been here for long enough will know what I'm talking about, you'll have seen it before.  She's just not happy unless she has someone to villify...so look out, because no matter what she might tell you to the contrary, you could be next.  No-one is safe, no-one at all.

Oh, and for the record, I didn't email or call anyone and ask that her article be removed from the forums.  Whoever it was, they did that all of their own accord.  I'm not that lame that I have to go asking admins to fight for me....and this time I'm chosing not to fight.  It's just not worth it. 

So, au revoir for now JU.  I'll be back......dunno when, but I can tell you that I will be back.

It really sucks that a troll like the person you are writing about has been allowed to exist on this site for months and write articles targeting others. Looks like this time some kind of action was taken for writting an article targeting you. I hope that people will eventually see this woman for who she really is.

You know, I agree with you.  I wrote an article about seeing things as they really are back in December, and this was what I was talking about.  I'm just not going to do this, you know?  I'm not going to sit and let myself get ripped to shreds...I'll leave rather than have that happen.  This isn't a contest, they are no 'winners'...this is supposed to be a place where people can come and express themselves without fear of persecution, and as long as she's around, that's not going to happen.  Brad once talked about 'toxic' users, and to me, she is the ultimate 'toxic user'.  I'd rather take my blog elsewhere than stay here and put up with her venom...and judging from the emails I've got, I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Dharma, go have a break and forget all the BS that goes down. I usually don't get involved, and I'm not going to, but I hate it when crap happens and good people like you have to do this. You go enjoy your family and hopefully find another outlet to vent until you decide to grace us with your presence again. Let me know how the knitting is coming along!
