Hey, Megatron. Does the .zip file install to the correct folder or do we need to move it there? If we need to move it, can you tell us where?

The file belongs in:

.\Galactic Civilizations\Data\

Whoops! Just found this in the bug thread. Thanks Sirian!

the text file that comes with the zip does explain where to place the file :)

if anyone is unsure then place file in this location. (i will use C as the letter of your main drive. if it is not then please replace it with the correct one :) )
D.click the dowmloaded zip
select 'extract'
select 'extract to'
navigate to 'C'
'program files'
'strategy first'
'galactic civilizations'
'data'
click the extract button.

job done :)

Hope this helps

It worked fine for me when I changed the file in the middle of a game. I only removed the HyperWarp prerequisite, since I didn't remember what the proper prerequisite was, but I see no reason why changing it instead would cause a proble.

from past experience with updates, it is generally advisable to update after you complete your current game. This small 'patch' should not cause problems with your current game, but to be 'safe' you should always wait or restart a new game after installing it.

Right, that is generally a good practice. But this is really a mod, not an update of the game, and I just wanted people to know that if they've spent time on a game only to learn that they can't get to Dreadnaughts because they're not Good it's ok for them to make the change.

After post by CariElf i have amended the zip at my mods site as well.
UP Issues are now resolved as well as Battleship issue

in the link is walkthrough on how to update v1.13 to correct problems

use this link to site ->http://files.galciv.org

or for zip only use this link ->http://files.galciv.org/v1.13.zip

if you have already corrected by using old zip and have no longer got the two UP Issue files then use this link to replace them ->http://files.galciv.org/techrevolution02.zip
