battery eater too

i think objectdock is eating my memory (or cpu)
(especially it slows down some of my games...dammit i have to close it everytime)
and draining my laptop's time much faster
i used to have more than 3 hours of battery life
now it's just 3
i added systats(system), battery meter, and mail checker
does it make any different?

thanks,
soda

Of course it is going to make a difference. Anything you run is going to change the amount of power you use. If you lower your color depth and resolution you can increase battery life. Any program that requires memory and CPU cycles (so, um, anything) is going to increase your power draw. Especially docklets, that are updating constantly, are going to increase power consumption. It isn't the program's fault, it is just a fact of life as far as I know.

Sure, Object Dock uses some memory, but never anything terrible on my machine. Just a price you have to pay for eye candy.

Docklets are mini programs...the more you put on your ObjectDock, the more memory you're gonna use.

i'm not complaining
in fact, i love it a lot
i replaced the original taskbar
but sometimes i suffered from the memory
it will be perfect if it uses a lil less
