Cannot uninstall Stardock Central

Cannot locate install.log file

Hi - I'd like to uninstall Stardock Central using add/remove programs, but when I try an error message comes up saying "could not open install.log file." I tried reinstalling it again then uninstalling it, but it did no good. I read a prior post from someone who had the same problem but found the file under program files - common files - Stardock. But I didn't find it there, did a search of files, nowhere to be found on my computer. Please help? Or maybe someone could copy their file and email it to me or something??? Thanks so much for any help. El.

Oh, and one more thing. If I do get a hold of the file, what do I do with it? Drag it inside the Stardock folder or what? Thanks again. El.

look in your c:\program files\common files\stardock folder.

Copy it to wherever SDC is installed and it should work.

Thanks, Chris but that's just it - the file was nowhere on my computer, not even in the stardock folder. I've been reading up on this file, and I guess it's associated with some type of spyware,so my Adaware may have eliminated it. I need it back just long enough to uninstall Stardock Central. Anyone know where I can get this file? Thanks again for any help. El.

Re-install SDC and then move the 'install' file over to the SDCentral folder. BTW: the newest beta version of SDC has the Install file in the correct folder (SDCentral).

The install.log file is quite common depending on the brand of installtion software a particular app uses. A quick scan of my HDD shows up at least 8 of them, none of which are related in any way to spyware.

OK, has anyone actually answered this question?

The guy says that the INSTALL.LOG file is NOWHERE on his hard drive, so he can't copy it from an alternate location to the right folder and then uninstall. I am having the exact same problem.

The file INSTALL.LOG does not exist and I am trying to uninstall Windowblinds 6.4 from Windows Vista. I do not have a C:\Program Files\Common Files\stardock directory. I have tried reinstalling the program and then uninstalling it with the same results---nada. I have also tried odnt_zapper.exe and it crashes immediately after startup.

Thank you.

I recommend using Revo Uninstaller, set on moderate to uninstall unwanted programs.  It always works for me and is much more thorough than add/remove programs. It's fast, easy and free LINK.

After the built-in uninstaller finishes, delete anything it finds and marks in bold print.
