I was flicking channels a few weeks ago waiting for the west wing and I came across queer as folk on SBS and there was this guy asking this other guy to make "me like you" pretty much what you described he wanted to be infected so he didn't have to worry about it anymore. I couldn't believe it.

I mean I get it - but isn't it a death sentence? I mean sure we're all going to die at some stage but who's to say that these people wouldn't have lived until their late 90's or into their 100's dying quietly in their beds. I watched Angels in America and I've seen Philedelphia a few times which is my only real experience with HIV apart from reading your blogs PB and that's bad enough - why would someone intentially do that to themselves, why would someone with AIDS want to give it to someone else.

I dont understand it either Trina. I mean I would never intentionally do to someone else what was done to me. They talk about not having to worry about it anymore, but there is still other things to worry about, and especially when you have a compromised immune system it is even more imperative that you take care of yourself.

I guess because they really dont know what is involved, they havent experienced it and think there are medications now to help , but they dont know what is involved with the meds and what they do to you and how they make you feel. Heck, you could even end up with a virulent strain which is resistant to the meds, then you would be really fucked!.
