Do you have Windows XP Serivce Pack 2 Installed on your machine?

If you are running windows 98 this feater WILL NOT work. but i take it that your operating system is Windows xp, make sure that you are not booting up anyother programes when ur computer stars. If so rune ipconfig and turn them off. If this is not the case then reinstall the Windows Blind and whatecver bootskin you want. Windows Blind should work perfectly fine if you have 256MB DDR memory. 256MB DDR allows you to run high programes smoothly... Hope this helps, if not write again.

hi.. went to windows update and downloaded the patches and everything and i reinstalled windowsbot and windowsblinds and still got the error.. something like

IRQL_NOt_LESS_LESS_OR_EQUAL.. I"m very new to xp sence i have been on windows 98 sence 1999 and only know little about xp from other people i know who has it and from techtv and so forth...

Was wondering if it could be the theme itself.. but i uninstaled windowsblinds and rebooted and stillgot the error.. soo i uninstalled windowsboot and it worked.. the items that boot up when i start is mostly my virus scanner/ firewall and other things windows boots. i have disabled a few.

Bootskin won't work on all computers. This is especially the case if you bought an 'out of the box'-system. These systems have often a 'tweaked' BIOS and don't always work with bootskin.

Stardock has several different versions of Bootskin on their site. You can find them here https://www.stardock.com/products/bootskin/ towards the bottom of the site under "Alternative Versions". Try them out,one of them might work with your system.

If not, you might have a computer with a BIOS that is 'tweaked' to much, and you can not run bootskin at al.

ok uninstalled the main one and did 1 of the allterd ones.. this time i did not get a error just a black blank screen.. ok uninstalled and installed the other later one.. same thing.. soo maybe it's the boot image that is wrong? tribal dragon it's called i belive.. i'm going to try to do the theme now sooo hmm..

I use "tribal dragon" as well and it should run fine. Unfortunately that means that bootskin just won't work with your system.

this is due to ur BIOS setting. your BIOS may be outdated as mine is too. Next time flash your BIOS, falshing is upgrading ur BIOS to the new version avalable. This is thee only was to use the windowsblinds and bootskin program. Keep in mind that your computer boots directly from the BIOS not windows XP. But careful, if you flash your BIOS with a diffrent version than ur own motherboard, then ur BIOS will permenently be damaged and have to replace a new one... 15$. I suggest not doing so and go with the suggestions above!
