Punk: not just for punks anymore...

Well people, it has happened, Punk music has now become mainstream. Yes, thats right, we have come adict... adictted to Punk. Now I will not make the statement that "all punk music sounds the same". That can be left up to you to decide. What bothers me is that the level of talent required to sing a punk song.... is sub-par.

I will make the statement that the average joe, could be in a punk band. My reason for agrument? this website: http://www.worldwidepunk.com/bands.html - This site has about a bagillion different Punk bands listed, all with a little info about them. Cheers to the pour soul managing the site... what a never ending task.

I guess my whole point is that punk music, isn't punk when it hits mainstream, the whole orginial idea of punk was to be "different' but now it seems like everyone has a spiked belt, puma shirt, oh and lets not forget the wristbands.

Punkers, you guys are cool, don't get me wrong I am not trying to poke fun, or be sterotype against your style.. (i think girls look kind of hot punked out) I am just being observant.... and i think it sucks that Punk has bled into the pop scene.... sorry Good Charlotte fans... but they are the best example of a punk band with britany-syndrome.

ok... enough of that....

Identity is never found in a facade, nor matter if it is popular or not.
