Let's pretend you are God for a moment. You exist in a void where nothing is, you have for an eternity, you get bored and decide to create something to relive you of your boredom. You start throwing atoms, and dust particles together, you create everything from nothing. Things start to form, the universe, rocks, stars and gasses. You see your creation and ponder on that for a couple of hundred eons.
Now comes the question, if you created all this, everything we see, touch, feel and smell... why did you create misery? Why did you create famen, hate, death... why did you create us this imperfect. Why would someone who is perfect do that? Why would YOU create something this defective, filled with vengeful spite? |
KBV, in what follows you’ll find some good answers to those questions. This is a compilation of insights taken from books written by psychics. It’s a sound description of ‘Truth’. Whether it rings true or not depends on whether you're ready for it. Either way, make of it what you will. It's heavy going, but we can't expect much else when deepest Truth is being described:
In the beginning, all that existed was pure Spirit.
Divine Mind, (or Christ-Consciousness, “I AM” - “the Word” to which John’s classic prologue refers), is all there was, and there was nothing else. The intrinsic nature of “the Word” is goodness and magnificence. But ‘All That Is’ (i.e. God) could not know itself – because All That Is is all there was, and there was nothing else. And so, All That Is . . . was
not. For in the absence of something else, All That Is, is not. (This is the great Is/Not Is to which Eastern mystics refer.)
Now All That Is
knew It was all there was, but this was not enough, for It could only know Its utter magnificence conceptually, not experientially. Yet the experience of Itself is that for which It longed, for It wanted to know what it felt like to be so magnificent. Still, this was impossible, because the very terms “magnificent” and “goodness” etc. are relative terms. All That Is could not know what it felt like to be magnificent unless that which is
not showed up. (In the absence of that which not, that which IS, is
not.)
Now, the one thing that All That Is knew is that there was nothing else. And so It could, and would, never know Itself from a reference point outside of Itself. Such a point did not exist. Only one reference point existed, and that was the single place
within.
Still, the All of Everything chose to know Itself experientially. God desired for the whole life process to be an experience of constant joy, continuous creation, never-ending expansion, and total fulfilment in each moment of now. This energy – this pure, unseen, unheard, unobserved, and therefore unknown-by-anyone-else energy – chose to experience Itself as the utter magnificence It was.
In order to do this, It realised It would have to use a reference point
within. It reasoned, quite correctly, that any portion of Itself would necessarily have to be less than the whole, and that if It thus simply divided Itself into portions, each portion, being less than the whole, could look back on the rest of Itself and see magnificence.
And so God, the Creator, conceived an Idea.
This moment in eternity was the dawn of a new Cosmic Day. God saw the Idea of a new condition - called Life Expression - completely pictured in the mirror of the divine Omniscient Mind. In this mirror God saw the Heavens and the Earth shining forth brilliantly in the Cosmos – like a perfect Sphere. God saw love, the divine creative power, as the animating and vitalizing force behind all Life, and the desire to give perfect expression to that love as the potential and real cause and reason of Life.
At this moment, the Heavens and the earth became manifest to the psychic sense, (i.e. to the Word-Consciousness), if not yet to what is called the physical sense. Once the Idea of expressing this new condition was born, God had but to think - that is, to concentrate or focus His attention upon this Idea, and will it to come forth into expression - proceeding to attract the necessary elements from the eternal storehouse of God's Mind - and, with the Idea as a nucleus, to combine, form and shape around it these elements into what is now called cosmic energy.
It was in this instant that God spoke the Creative Word. At once did the Cosmic Forces of His Will combine, ‘crystallizing’ into various elements of spiritual and physical substance; until God's Idea suddenly burst forth in substantial manifestation in the world of visible forms.
From the No-Thing thus sprang the Everything, (a spiritual event consistent with what our scientists call the big bang theory.) As the elements all raced forth, time was created, for a thing was first here, then it was there – and the period it took to get from here to there was measurable. Just as the parts of Itself which are seen began to define themselves, “relative” to each other, so, too, did the parts which are unseen.
God knew that for love to exist, and to know itself as pure love – its exact opposite had to exist as well. So God voluntarily created the great polarity – the absolute opposite of love – everything that love is not – what is now called “the Devil”. (It is this creation of duality between good and evil which humans refer to in their various mythologies as the rebellion of Satan. These mythologies have been mankind’s early attempt to understand, and tell others in a way they could understand, a cosmic occurrence of which the human soul is deeply aware, but of which the mind can barely conceive.)
In rendering the universe as a divided version of Itself, God produced, from pure energy, all that now exists – both seen and unseen. Thus, the Heavens and the earth were created – the Celestial Realms, and the physical planes - different dimensions in One Holy Creation, governed by laws and forces inspired by the informing intelligence of God’s Idea within.
Within the Heavenly realms - harmonious and exquisite - conditions became ripe for the creation of mediums through which God’s divine attributes could find
conscious expression, conscious not only of their relationship to Him, but of their ability and power to exercise freedom, and to experience goodness and love. And so God created Adam and Eve, in His images and likeness He made them, in perfect expression as souls clothed in celestial bodies.
This Edenic state was the first condition into which we awakened and entered into life expression, and is what is called the dwelling in the Garden of Eden.
Now, in the middle of the Garden of Eden grew the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, (symbolically speaking). In the beginning, God told Adam and Eve that they were free to eat the fruit from any of the trees in Paradise, except for the fruit which grew on the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. They were warned that if they ate from this particular tree, they would taste “death”.
Due to their innate desire to explore and garner wisdom, and inspired by the lures of Satan, Adam and Even succumbed to temptation and ate the forbidden fruit. This decision left God with no other choice than to drive Adam and Eve out of Paradise to learn the full scope of wisdom – to experience good
and evil. Drawn now from purely Celestial delights, and driven from their Edenic state, humanity fell from Eden to earth. Living souls, created in the divine image and likeness, were now breathed into earthly bodies, which had evolved from “the dust of the ground” and which had previously housed mere forms of animal-consciousness.
Separated now from its Heavenly estate, lost in the illusions of a broken world, humanity found itself involved in conditions altogether new and strange. Rather than experiencing joy, peace and security, humanity was forced to experience foreign feelings of fear, doubt, loneliness and pain. With their earthly minds deliberately veiled from the Whole Truth, human beings forgot about their divine heritage, and became the gods of their own universe.
And so here we are – living in this physical, crude realm, where death, suffering and pain are common place. Oblivious to our Heavenly estate and to our eternal life of peace and joy, for the time being we are forced to “till the ground” and “by the sweat of your brow to eat your food”, and experience the old chestnut “death”.
But everything is part of the divine plan. It is only through opposing forces that God can provide the discipline and experiences by which souls can attain true strength and acquire real wisdom, and learn to know unerringly good
and evil. No man can truly know good and evil until he has tasted and eaten to satiation of the fruits of evil and pain – and has been so taught and led to the limit of selfish indulgence that he learns the foolishness and emptiness of it all, and finally awakens as a Prodigal Son, and longs for his Father’s house and the place at His table for goodness and abundance which he discarded for the husks of the outer world, and he starts on his homeward journey to his Father’s Kingdom.
