Any tips on setting up screenshots.

I've checked out the screenshots to see what people have on them. I wanted to show notepad pro and rainlendar, but both of these are invisible when I/computer takes the pic. I have tried numerous times, both with psp and irfanview...have also tried different skins on said programs, but still invisible. Any ideas what I am doing wrong or?

you could try just hitting the print screen key on your key board then pasteing to irfanview or in MS paint.

ctrl-print screen will get it all. 'Paste as new image' in PSP to edit and save as .jpg image

alt-printscreen will grab just the item that has focus.. this can be really handy

Thank you all for your very helpful comments! It worked wonderfully with the ctrl-print screen tab on my keyboard, actually I never knew what that was for! Thank you all again

In the days of DOS, text-only screens, that key did actually print what was on the screen i.e to the printer!
For some applications it was the only way to get a hardcopy!
