Couldn't resist the urge to poke fun at

     No I am not leaving JU. I am however leaving Texas to deploy to an undisclosed location in Iraq in two weeks time along with our LT. It will be nice to see Talisein and many of my deployed friends and fellow soldiers. Additionally I will have another chance to serve with SFC Calangelo! I am not sure how much JU access I will have over there (Tal seems to do ok) but I will try and keep in touch as much as I can. Now, packing up the house!

Can we (as in JU) adopt Greywar and his platoon? I think that'd be great...each person could send stuff as they wanted to.


You should expand it to "deployed portion of his company," some of us are still back here and don't need things as badly as those forward. Also, there are some electronics guys (read: toaster repairmen) that fix the stuff that we break (read: toaster operators) that aren't in our platoon, but are in our company. They'd probably appreciate some lovin', too.

It would probably be best if it were people that correspond regularly with greywar, though. If he wants me to, I guess I could pseudocoordinate it back here.

But seriously folks I reall am overwhelmed by the offers of support here and I thank you all. I haven't got a clue what they guys who are already over really want or need but if it is possible I will be sure to post it here:) Additionally I will pass along the well wishes to the hard working folks who are already over there.... Thank you very much...
