Holiday Desktop Released!

Give your desktop the holiday spirit

Stardock has released a free "Holiday Desktop" theme. This theme includes everything the user needs to seamlessly change the complete look and feel of Windows XP.

This suite shows off the power of Stardock’s Object Desktop, which allows users to completely customize the look, feel and function of Windows. Once the holidays are over, a user can simply turn it off and return their system to its pre-holiday look and feel.

The suite includes a visual style that changes the Windows XP user interface, a wallpaper, a set of icons, a calendar, and other goodies.

It uses the same technology that companies such as Alienware, Microsoft, nVidia, ATI, Nintendo and others have licensed to create their own branded desktop environments.

I already have all these things. They were released last year if I'm not mistaken. Though they weren't all in one convenient package. It's all really great and festive. Mormegil is a friggin' genius.

Doesn't seem that much newer, but it's kickass no matter what anyone says. I can't imagine Christmas without my ChristmasTime suite

It's been updated since last year.

List of changes made, please? Nothing is evident from the screenshot.

My wife already has last years version running fine on her laptop - want to see if it's worth messing with...

Is this is stand alone download, or do you have to have things like windowblinds installed?

Very nice, but I had to add roll-up. A skin just isn't "right" without it.

Great job on the theme. I'm using it right now. I do have one request. Would it be possible to make the Logon screen resolution independent? I'm running larger than 1600 and so I have some doubling at the edges. Thanks. Masterful work, though. . . . used it last year, using it this year!

I think I was looking forward to using this suite more than getting presents this year!

...ok...maybe not! But it was pretty close!

Well, there's no doubting that this is an awesome set, but again, what are the updates? I mean it's a year old, right so why are you guys featuring it? Don't get me wrong, I love it honestly! But like how about some tabs (I had to make my own, that I can't reach Mormegil for permission to release, as is with the Toon Tabs and other stuff)...
But really, sure do wish you guys could have gotten together to give us something new...I mean, when last year's Holiday Season was over, we all knew that there was going to be another Holiday Season this year...So, I would have figured someone would have tried to do something new in a years time. Oh well... it's still great. But next year there will be something new, right?

This is my first eyeball of this suite and I think its really cool, Despite the fact that we don't get snow here in OZ, it will grace my festive season desktop nevertheless. It refreshes many fond memories of my childhood in England, to when christmas snow was commonplace, so thanks to all at Stardock
