Transparant Everything Except TEXT?

I was wondering if there's a skin or something out there that can make almost everything transparant/translucent except text? I know a program called Vitrite that makes everything transparant, but that's including the text. I'd like to make it seem like the program is running right on the desktop. Anybody know? Kind of like this: http://nilesh.org/misc/snapshots/53 I know that's redhat, but I'd like to know if this is possible on windows. I tried it on my linux box too, but not too sure how to get it that way. The terminal program (ssh) is awesome looking like that. Please help! THanks!

There's a program called eConsole that will give you transparent console windows like Linux, but I don't know of any program that can do that with all of your Windows programs. The only ones I know of make everything transparent, including the text.

I once started a transparent skin but ran into too many areas where it wouldnt work...even when a skin element supported transparency(not all do)...if there was a button or mouseover there it disappeared. You could fake it by skinning the WB with elements from your wallpaper.(and making everything that you could transparent.

I'm working on a wb skin and other app skins that, when used with a specific color background, blend completely into the background and just show text. It's not transparency, but it might as well be. It does present problems however. You can sometimes lose where the window borders are for resizing and stuff like that. It's an interesting experiment.
