New XP system

I just got this new laptop with XP

So... What will work on XP, without downloading any software? What I'm asking is what can I start customizing right now?

Well you can change between 3 default msstyles.
Or you can move the icons around your desktop.
That's about it...

Remember not all XP's are equal e.g. Home, Pro, Media - SP1 etc. so make sure before you follow up on a registry hack or manual change of boot-file etc. you have the correct information in front of you

Most customizing requires that you download software to make the customizing program work. The software itself is safe and made for XP.

Just calm down and take a deep breath. I know you're excited with your new puter, just try not to run into any walls.(Really, because I did when I got my new puter)
