How to use animated icons?

Hi,I was wondering if someone could tell me how to use the animated icons in object dock. When I try to use one it shows each frame of the icon mushed together in a still icon.
I downloaded the animated shortcut file that some of the animated icons had links to.I put that in just about every folder in object dock but still no success. Any ideas what i'm doing wrong. I'm not very tech savy so please help in laymings(<-did I spell that right?) terms. Thanx.

you have to add the animated shortcut first from the OD settings and then configure it to use the graphics and destination.
