having problems with bootscreen progress bar

i dont know why but whenever i make a new bootscreen and add the progress bar in it seems to work fine in the preview in bootskin but then when i restart my comp to see how it looks trails of the bottom of the image for the progress bar are left behind and i dont know what im doing wrong...any suggestions?

Not sure if this is the problem, but make sure the progress bar is using the same pallette as the main image.

A Bootskin must be a 4bit image...of 16 colours...and the progress bar MUST have the same colour choice [palette]....in other words it must use one or more of the EXACT same colours as the main image....
