as a new "old boy"i love pallets work i have tried several and don'have trouble.iprticularly like old bronze.i am currently using marmo by mitch another good skinner
all i need t o do now is have the courage to invest a large chunk of my pension so that i can learn to skin

As an old old boy, I've never heard of those authors and don't know what they make, but if you can scrape up the money and learn to skin, you'll have lots of fun. Your days will never be boring and your mind will exercised to the max.

You don't need much money to skin.
There are good graphics programs that are cheap (Paint Shop Pro) or free (the GIMP). The only purchase I would advise is Skin Studio, although it is possible to write the skin text file by hand using just Notepad.
