Is chat down or do I have a different problem?

I reinstalled everything today and I cannot seem to get chat to work. I figured best off first asking if it may not be working right now.

Well, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and I still cannot get it to work. I have no idea what the problem may be so fixing it will be out of my control.
