MAC OS X Feature for Windows

There is a feature in MAC OS X - you hit F9 and it takes all of the active windows, reduces their size and then tiles them on the desktop - allowing you to see all of them at once - but each one "full" (unlike Windows "tile") - is this do-able using Object Desktop and has anyone done it? Thanks....Jon Battle

WindowFX allows you to do something similar. You must reduce each window to a tile individually, however. There is no shortcut to reduce all open windows to tiles at once. It would be a nice addition though.

There's a windows program that does this. Can't remember the name though. What's the name of the feature on the Mac? The product's website has the same name.

Thanks to Frogboy''s tip, I did some googling and found out the feature is called Exposé. The product for Windows was formerly called WinExposé, but they have changed the name to WinPLOSION. You can find it here: http://www.winplosion.com/

..and it blows.

there was one being independently developed by a user at aquasoft.org which used direct draw and was, as i hear, pretty fast and very functional. but the thread following it sorta ped off. if anyone's heard of what happened to that, lemmie know.

there is windows powertoy which will replace your alt-tab switcher and show nice small screenshots of everything you have open, similar to expose but much similer and more.. well, windows. you'll have to search microsoft's site for it though, as they keep changing the link on me
