dumb off-topic question

i have windows xp home with plus! installed. i would like to add to the small collection of screensavers i have in my "appearance and themes". once i see a screensaver i like and i open the file to download it...where do i install it? i cant seem to find the file/folder anywhere.

Hmm, not that dumb of a question because I dont know for sure either. Have you tried putting it into the C:/Windows folder? I think it will detect it.

Dare I say that C:\Windows\System32 is where you should place it?

BTW guys, the slash is backwards when the path is local. Forward slashes are for the Internet.

Hum, details, yes indeed.

Open a cmd windows and try to type "cd C:/Windows/System32" and lets see if details can be important.

paxx....it''s an old habit...some sites strip backward slashes....I think Devart is one...so some tend to reverse them....not a typo at all...

Generally, when I download a screensaver it installs itself in the appropriate folder.
