essencay, I want the skin to be more then just easy to use, it also have to look good (also for other users of the pc)
I really want to chat with him because I want to know some details of what the skins has to future. Maybe we can even considder things like sound intergrated menu's and buttons, this by having little bleeps or a voice that says start, close, etc.

Its fun because you are not only creating something that looks good but you are also able to actually help someone with your passion.

Well with regards to the requirements for a skin, the following I suppose would be a good basis for a skin.

1. Light colored backgrounds.

2. Large , simple dark colored fonts ( no wacky text effects ) We use size 15/Arial/black here atm but I suppose any of the good fonts are okay , like Tahoma.

3. Simple graphics in the skin. There are some skins out there that even I have a problem seeing things in because the graphics are so complex.

The skin you are working on is not bad, however Cindia probably wouldn't use it because the text is a no go.

with regards to sound based menus, she already has just about every WIndows sound set ( she likes the Italian samples from Worms Armaggedon ). I don't think we have a problem from there. AFAIK. I appreciate your concern though.

This thread has really taken a life of it's own. I really didn't think much when I started it for I was just looking to see if someone had done a big font skin. The kind offers and efforts of the skinners here are much appreciated

Okay this is where I'm at so far Next up is the StartMenu, LogOff/Shutdown dialogs. It doesn't show in the preview, but the text for the toolbar buttons, the listview and groupbox headers and tabs look the same as the drop-menu text, for size and boldness.

Hi D2JBug....I finished the skin this morning. It's called Clear Blue as soon as it passes moderation you'll be able to get it I hope I made it feminine enough and still useable for Cindia and I want to thank you for the opportunity to do this, because I feel really good inside right now

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. My girlfriend's 10-year old got some help from his buddies and figured out how to disable the firewall, anti-virus, and spy blockers so he could access this "really kewl site where they have all kinda free games." Our whole network was infected and I have been fighting to restore 6 hard drives on 4 machines. I know I have them all cleaned now, but I still have some software and data restoration to do.

At any rate, I haven't downloaded Clear Blue yet, but the screen shot looks great. Congratulations, my friend. Well done.

Thanks D2J and Shameless. I've got a couple of minor things to fix with it. When I do I'll most likely add a substyle with a smaller titlebar

Cindia still uses ClearBlue, and although she dosen't know you , Essencay , she is very thankful, and so am I.
