How do I make an object that opens my dial-up connection with DesktopX?

I´m having a lot of trouble with this one... I tried making a shortcut to the connection and then having the object open the shortcut, but that didn´t work.

I suppose I could just make my browser connect automatically when I open it, but most of the time I´m not even going to use my browser, so I´d like to have an independant link to my dial-up connection...

Does anybody know how to solve this?

i resorted to writing a plugin to do this. it should be fairly easy to port over to DX, it is just a case of doing it *shrug*

currently i have a working KLP plugin to dial my internet connection. the catch is that it is hard coded to the name of my connection, so i would have to update it to be more general if anyone else was interested. its companion plugins should work fine on other machines though.

so does anybody else have any ideas besides a plugin? i don't want to bug this guy with all the porting and optimizing if he wasn't planning on it in the first place...

everytime i search for a solution to this i get ppl asking me "dial-up? does that still exist?!"

c'mon guys, there's gotta be something out there
