Start 11 v 2.55 Bug - Pinned webpage shortcuts will not stay in folders

Hi,

There is a mildly irritating bug in Start11 - when you create shortcuts to web pages you can place them in folders but when the machine is restarted they are no longer contained in the folder.

Thanks
John

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I would like to try to recreate your issue on my system. Please provide some more details

  1. You on Windows 10 or 11? Also, need its full version and OS Build number. Use Windows own, Winver.exe to get this number.
  2. List down your steps on, how you pin those folder with shortcuts or post a video showing it to us.

Thank you,

Hi,

My OS is windows 11 24H2 (Build 261000.6725), Start11 Ver 2.55 (and 2.54) - the start menu is in Windows 11 layout.

I create a folder on the front page by dragging an icon on the front page over another one.

I then create a web shortcut on page 1 by right clicking an empty area of the menu and choosing new | pin website and entering the details of the URL and name.

I then drag this shortcut onto the folder created earlier. The website link stays in that folder for a while but then will drop out and back onto the main page.

Thanks
John
