Hi,

I use Smart11 to revert my Win 11 start menu back to my favoured Win 10.

When an pinned application is opened, Excel say, then jump lists appear if I right click on the Excel task bar item.  

Jump Lists to not appear when I right click on the pinned Excel icon in the Start Menu.

Jump lists appear if I right click on Excel in the full program list.

If I CTRL-click start to bring up the Win11 start menu then jump lists do appear when right clicking on the pinned Excel icon.

This is for all pinned icons / apps on my Win 10 start menu not just Excel.

Followed these instructions https://www.howto-connect.com/show-jump-lists-on-start-and-taskbar-in-windows-10/ and everything is set up correctly.

Any advice appreciated.

What happens if you right click the app in the "All apps" list?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. I don't have Excel in my Windows 11 VM system but on my Windows 10 system with Start11v2. I do see the jump list when I right click on it. Refer screenshot below.

It may be on how you actually pin the app to your Start menu. You will need to pin the actual application to get the jumplist. Shortcut pinned, from what I tested, will not have the jumplist. What I usually do is, browse the application list on the left and look for, in this case, Excel, right click on it and select pin to Start11.

thanks for your reply. It is indeed the pinning which is at fault. Once I re-pinned the app from the application list it worked.

Not quite sure how I only pinned the shortcut earlier, but it's resolved now thanks to your help :)
