Pinning to taskbar is "squirrely"

Whenever I pin an app to the taskbar and click on it, it opens another instance of the application and leaves the original pinned icon on the desktop. Under windows only when an app was pinned to the desktop clicking on it would change the taskbar pin to the active document.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know few more information.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Also need full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe to get these numbers.
  2. Start11 full version number.
  3. Start11 Enhance taskbar turn on?

3. Yes, but I also have Explorer Patcher installed and therein lies the problem. They are in conflict. If I remove EP, problem solved. Thanks.
