Touch on taskbar broken when Start11 enhanced taskbar is on

When Start11 is configured to enhance the taskbar, touch events on the taskbar Search, Task View, Taskbar Icons, Date, Notifications, and Show Desktop are completely ignored. Both short tap and long press.

This happens regardless of taskbar size, and regardless of whether Touch Mode is set to Automatic or Force Touch. However, it mostly only happens when the taskbar is bottom aligned. Touch on a top aligned taskbar works almost perfectly, except the settings menu (volume, wifi, battery) can't be dismissed by tapping the button again.

This was a problem that was unfixed in v1; I just purchased v2 and had very much hoped it would have been fixed in v2 by now.

I'm using Win11 Pro Version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.2314) on a Lenovo Yoga Book 9i. I have Start11 Version 2.11 installed.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information.

  1. Windows 11 full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe
  2. Start11 full version number installed.
  3. Taskbar bottom or top of screen?

Thank you.

I've updated my post with all of the requested info. Also, I discovered that this does indeed only happen when the taskbar is bottom aligned. When top aligned, there is only one small touch glitch (see updated post).

Please try this, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately after uninstall finish. Re-download latest version from you account download page. Install it, reboot and retest.

Thank you,
