Start11 v2 stable and beta crash windows explorer

I use Microsoft voice typing launcher and it appears to conflict with Start11 v2 stable and v2 beta. It randomly causes Windows Explorer to freeze up which crashes the taskbar and any right click menus. A full uninstall of Start11 resolves explorer crashes

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your system.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? And, need its full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe
  2. Post a video showing us the issue will help us understand the issue better.

Thank you.

WinVer.

I'll try and capture when it crashes, its totally random.

Ive tried a clean install with no backup, the purge-start bat with same results.

It might be something similar issue reported by Dragon NaturallySpeaking User reported before. However to be sure, I have forwarded your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

added: I notice when you have Voice launcher turn on Windows introduce a new permenant bar on top edge if your monitor, yes. Do you by any change also have your taskbar on the same location? And/or using taskbar autohide?

Thank you.

I tested Voice typing and launcher. But, I can't reproduce your issue on my system. Please try this. Uninstall, Start11, reboot immediately after uninstall finished (important). Re-download latest version Start11v2.09 Beta. Install it, reboot immediately again after installation finished. Retest and report back.

I've done those steps with the same result before creating this thread.

It's totally random. And everything is stable until after I launch voice typing and use it several times. Then Explorer randomly crashes and need to be restarted. Last night I disabled Let Start11 enhanced the taskbar and explorer only crashed immediately afterwards and nothing for the rest of the evening. I'll keep it off for a few days and see if that resolved the issue, then reenable it to try and reproduce the problem

So far disabling 'Let Start11 enhanced the taskbar' has eliminated Explorer crashes when using Voice Typing

This appears to be fixed in v2.1. So far several hours with no Explorer crash and Enhanced Taskbar enabled.
