Start11 always shows "Update and Shut Down". How to fix?

So I have Start11 v2, and on my laptop, Start11 insists I have pending updates that need installed. However, I checked Windows Update, and I rebooted multiple times. Windows seems to think there are absolutely no updates now, yet Start11 begs to differ. Is there something that needs "reset" so that Start11 behaves correctly in this situation?

I have. And it still shows "Update and Shutdown" on the Start11 menu.

I also temporarily reverted to the standard start menu, and an update notification does not show up there.

It's not a big deal, but it does mess with my OCD. Haha.

No, it should not behave like that. It should revert back to "Shutdown" only. Please try this, Uninstall Start11, reboot immediately, re-download Start11 latest version, install it, reboot immediately again after installation finished. Retest and report back.
