Pinned shortcuts - removing them?

I'd like to remove the 43 (!) pinned shortcuts - none of which I pinned.  Scrolling past them all EVERY time I want to access a program is annoying.  Right-clicking on each one does not lead to an option to delete or remove.

How do I get rid of them?
