Taskbar Size not changing

Taskbar Size not changing

Windows 11 Pro N 23H2 22631.3737
Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1009.0
Start11 Version 2.08

I just downloaded the trial because I want to change my taskbar size to Small
Changing size from Extra Large to Small has no difference at all and the support page has 0 contact information

does this program even still function as intended? or am i doing something wrong??

i could not find any duplicate posts about this because the search function in the forum works terribly (and being forced to make a account here just to get some basic support already turned me off of this product) but i would really like to know if this functionality actually works before i purchase this Start11

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. First, Stardock Software only does technical support via its forum. You're encourage to create account not just for the forum, but also to manage your account like activation etc.

As for your question on taskbar size, below is my screenshot on Windows 11 v23H2 OS Build 22631.3737, with small taskbar on Start11 v2.08

Thank you.

Like i stated in my previous post the taskbar size wont update

It's the same size regardless of the setting showing the same size taskbar on Extra Large as on Small (which is just the default size)

Could the issue be that I got "Windows 11 Pro N" installed and not "Windows 11 Pro"? (maybe I'm missing some necessary system components which don't install on their own in the N version) And if that is the case how would I fix this problem to make stardock function correctly.

I found a replacement program which does decrease the size of the taskbar correctly (maybe it hooks somewhere else so it functions correctly on the N version??) but i would like to be able to use stardock instead if this issue can be fixed

I understand that accounts are also used for licensing but I am still on the trial seeing if it functions correctly before i purchase something

It might be something is conflicting with Start11, please try on Windows Sandbox and see if it can be done in there: https://forums.stardock.com/505872/start11-support-faq#windowssandbox. Try that and report back.

It was a clean installation of Windows 11 Pro N the only thing i did was update it to the newest version after installing (since the iso provided by microsoft is very old)

I badly sprained my wrist so using my computer is a pain right now but i will try sandbox in a couple of days when the swelling goes down and see if that makes any difference
